Our Private Health Insurance & Funds Partners
We welcome all major health funds and process claims on the spot via HICAPS. We are a preferred provider with HCF, NIB, and CBHS, which means our members with these funds can access additional benefits beyond standard cover.
HCF - More For Teeth
Every HCF member with extras cover is eligible for two fully covered check-ups and cleans each year — with no out-of-pocket expense. The More For Teeth program also covers routine check X-rays and no-gap professional custom-fit mouthguards at our clinic.
NIB - No Gap Dental
As an NIB preferred provider, eligible NIB members with extras cover can access no-gap preventative dental check-ups at our practice. A No Gap check-up includes an examination, scale and clean, fluoride treatment, and diagnostics where clinically required (including X-rays). NIB members also benefit from agreed rates on many other commonly claimed treatments. Annual limits, waiting periods, and terms apply — check your cover via the NIB app or member account before booking.
CBHS - Preferred Provider
As a CBHS preferred provider, CBHS members can access higher benefits on a range of dental treatments at our practice. Contact our team or check your CBHS member account for details on what your level of cover includes.
Other accepted funds include Medibank, ahm, Bupa, HBF, CUA Health, Defence Health, Frank, HIF, GMHBA, Teachers Health, and Department of Veterans' Affairs.
zip & Afterpay

Medicare – Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS)
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides eligible children aged 2–17 with access to benefits for a range of basic dental services. At Ballarat Family Dental, we bulk-bill all CDBS-eligible patients, meaning no out-of-pocket costs for any treatment billed under the scheme and within the benefit cap.
The current benefit cap is $1,158 per child over a two-year period, covering examinations, X-rays, cleans, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, and extractions. It does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dental work.
To be eligible, children must be covered by an Australian Government payment such as Family Tax Benefit.
